No photos today....just a couple of replies and some news.
We have had a quiet few days here in Weipa and it has been nice. We leave here tomorrow for Aurukun which is about 205 kms away on the coast of the Gulf. From there we head back east to the main road, then south to Musgrave Station. From there we turn left across Lakefield NP for a few days, then end up in Cooktown eventually. So, as a result, we will be out of internet and phone access until Cooktown....so you can all have a rest for a while.
For those who asked/commented:
@Les - yes, the fishing is SUPPOSED to be fantastic, and it is SUPPOSED to be fantastic everywhere we have been, but it hasn't happened. It is the 'you should have been here last week' syndrome! At least we are not alone in that no one is catching much. K & I caught 12 keeper Breams this morning, from the jetty, so that was tonight's dinner (not all of them). We actually caught about 50 and gave the rest away to a couple of elderly aboriginal men who were fishing with us.The 12 we kept were legal size, the rest were a bit under, as legal sizes don't apply to them.
@Ali - yes, we found some Palm Cockatoos for you.
@Chris -  I haven't seen any GS's up here Chris. The 2000 kms of dirt corrugations tends to put a lot of riders off, although there are a lot of trail bikes up here. It would be hard work, with full concentration a necessity. We stopped and picked up one rider who came off and landed under his bike. We had to lift the bike off him.

Will update when we connect again.....thanks for 'listening & watching'.
